Garlic Butter Steak

A garlic sauce for your favourite steak cut.

This garlic butter is delicious served with asparagus and new potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 4 portions lean beef steak (sirloin, scotch, fillet or rump)
  • 40g butter, softened
  • 2 Tbsp fresh crushed garlic
  • 1/2 tsp ground paprika
  • 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
  • Olive oil for cooking

Method

  1. Combine the butter, garlic, paprika and parsley in a bowl, mix well and put aside.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil; season with salt and pepper, to taste. Then cook in a hot pan on both sides until cooked to your desired degree.
  3. Once done, cover in foil and rest in a warm place for about 2 minutes to retain the juices.
  4. Serve with a generous dollop of garlic butter on top of the steak and your favourite seasonal veges.

Time Saving Tip

You can also prep the butter ahead of time or make a bigger batch and freeze as needed.
