Look no further for a delicious vegetarian burger recipe than our easy haloumi burger loaded with everyone's favourite squeaky cheese and sweet chilli sauce.


  • 180g haloumi
  • 1 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 seven seeds & grains rolls, split, toasted
  • 1 baby cos lettuce, leaves separated, torn
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sweet chilli
  • sauce (plus extra to serve)

  1. Cut haloumi into 8 slices. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook haloumi for 1 minute on each side or until golden and warmed through.
  3. Top roll bases with lettuce, tomato, haloumi and sauce. Sandwich with roll tops and serve with extra sauce.
