Tuna Poke
Fresh, healthy and bursting with flavour!

As one of the main traditional Hawaiian dishes, Poke originally consisted of marinated diced raw fish. This Poke recipe takes a modern approach incorporating a variety of fresh ingredients and delicious flavours. 


  • 400g fresh sashimi grade Yellowfin or Albacore tuna
  • 1 Tbsp seasame oil for searing tuna
  • Toasted black and white sesame seeds
  • 2 finely cut spring onions
  • 1/2 cucumber finely diced
  • 1 avocado finely diced
  • 1 fresh red chilli
  • 1 cup fresh soy beans - come frozen thaw for 10 mins
  • 1 cup fresh watercress leaves
  • 4 Tbsp Tamari soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp mirin
  • 2 tsp chilli garlic sauce
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice

  1. Mix all salad ingredients together.
  2. Finely dice tuna and add to salad.
  3. Add dressing.
