Tuna Poke
Fresh, healthy and bursting with flavour!
As one of the main traditional Hawaiian dishes, Poke originally consisted of marinated diced raw fish. This Poke recipe takes a modern approach incorporating a variety of fresh ingredients and delicious flavours.
Ingredients
- 400g fresh sashimi grade Yellowfin or Albacore tuna
- 1 Tbsp seasame oil for searing tuna
Salad
- Toasted black and white sesame seeds
- 2 finely cut spring onions
- 1/2 cucumber finely diced
- 1 avocado finely diced
- 1 fresh red chilli
- 1 cup fresh soy beans - come frozen thaw for 10 mins
- 1 cup fresh watercress leaves
Dressing
- 4 Tbsp Tamari soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp mirin
- 2 tsp chilli garlic sauce
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
