Sirloin Steak Tacos

Ingredients

  • Sirloin steak
  • Flour tortillas
  • Barker’s caramelized onion relish
  • Slaw mix
  • Pickled red onions
  • Feta cheese, crumbled
  • Fresh lime

Method

Prepare the Steak
  1. Remove the sirloin steak from the fridge 15 minutes before cooking.
  2. Pat dry and season generously with salt, paprika, garlic granules, cracked pepper and olive oil.
Cook the Steak
  1. Heat a pan or grill over high heat.
  2. Cook the steak for 3–4 minutes per side (medium-rare) or to your liking.
Rest & Slice
  1. Remove steak from heat and rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Slice thinly against the grain.
Warm the Tortillas
  1. Heat tortillas in a dry pan or wrap in foil and warm in the oven. Spread on barkers caramelized onion relish
Assemble the Tacos
  1. Add slaw or salad mix.
  2. Layer steak slices onto each tortilla.
  3. Top with pickled red onions and crumbled feta.
Finish & Serve
  1. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the tacos.
  2. Serve immediately with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
