  • 200g salted butter, chopped
  • 2 tbs garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup continental parsley leaves, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp sea salt flakes
  • 2 pkts half baguettes, halved lengthways

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced.
  2. Place butter in a heatproof, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave, covered, on high for 20 seconds or until butter softens. Stir in garlic paste, parsley, pepper and salt until smooth and combined.
  3. Brush cut sides of baguettes with butter mixture. Press baguette halves back together and wrap in foil to enclose.
  4. Bake for 12 minutes or until bread is golden and crisp. Cut into pieces and serve.
