Nestle KitKat Cake

Indulge in chocolate heaven with this Nestlé Kit Kat goodness!

Ingredients

Cake
  • 2 cups all purpose flour (Gluten Free flour as alternative)
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar (Coconut sugar as alternative)
  • 3/4 cup Nestle Cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 cup milk (Dairy Free milk as alternative)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil (We used Coconut Oil)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 cup Nestle Dark Cooking Chocolate
  • Pinch of salt
Frosting
  • 1/2 cup butter (Dairy Free butter as alternative)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Nestle Cocoa powder
  • 2 1/2 cups icing sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk (Dairy Free milk as alternative)
Topping
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh or Frozen Raspberries
  • Nestle KitKats x 4
  • 1/4 cup Nestle Dark Cooking Chocolate for drizzling on top

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar Nestle cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda & salt, unitil fully combined.
  3. Add eggs, oil. milk and vanilla and mix until fully combined, using a electric mixer if possible. Stir in boiling water.and once combined into mixture, add raspberries & Nestle Dark Cooking Chocolate.
  4. Pour mixture into a lined cake tin and bake for 35-45 minutes or until a knife can be inserted into middle of cake and comes out clean.
  5. Once cooked, let cake sit to cool for 30 minutes.
  6. For the icing, using an electric beater, whip the butter and vanilla, then mix in the Nestle Cocoa powder. Gradually start adding the icing sugar to the mixture. Finally, slowly add in milk until you are happy with consistency.
  7. Spread icing over cake and top with raspberries and crushed up Nestle KitKats.
  8. Melt Nestle Dark Cooking Chocolate and drizzle over cake.
  9. Enjoy!
