Grandma's Mince on Toast

My granny's famous toast

Ingredients

  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Onion
  • 500g Premium Beef Mince
  • 2-3 Tbsp Curry Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Oxtail Soup Powder
  • 2 Beef OXO Cubes/Dashida Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Olive Oil
  • Butter

Method

  1. Grate the carrot and onion.
  2. Sauté the grated carrot and onion in olive oil and butter for 6-8 minutes.
  3. Add the beef mince and fry for 6-8 minutes or until the beef is crumbled.
  4. Add the oxtail soup powder, OXO cubes or Dashida powder, curry powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cook on medium-low heat for 45 minutes.
  6. Slice your favourite Grizzly bread (or thick white slice TipTop bread) and toast it.
  7. Cover the buttered toast with the cooked mince. Season with white pepper if available.
  8. Your Grandma's Mince Toast is ready to serve.
